Northwest Austin apartment fire leaves 30 homeless

An apartment fire in northwest Austin has left 30 people without a home and caused $2.6 million in property damage.

The fire broke out around 2:15 a.m. on Thursday at 9219 Anderson Mill Road. Sixty firefighters from the Austin and Jollyville fire departments reported to the scene. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and investigators say that because the building collapsed, further investigation is needed. Luckily, no one was injured.
